New
Jersey Women's Tennis League -
Netherwood’s
women’s
participates in the New Jersey
Women’s
Tennis League, which includes
130 teams in 13 series, all over
the state. This Spring League
plays from April through June.
Netherwood was in Series 2 this
year and won the flight, so will
be moving up to Series 1. Last
year we did the same – we
were in Series 3, and won the
flight, so moved up to Series
2. The same was true for the year
before that – won
Series 4 and moved up to Series
3. We won all 9 of our matches
played this year, only losing
7 individual courts out of 36
all season. (Each match consists
of 4 doubles courts).
Lori Kaufman captains the team and the rest of the players are Janice White, Sandra Miller, Sandy Glatt, Lauren Falk, Beth Dombroski, Jacky Brown-Harvest, Cheryl Pernell-Rey, Kathy Flath, Ellen Azevedo and Linda Hammond.
The NJWTL plays throughout
NJ and is open to women
Club members over 21
years of age. The matches
are held on weekday
mornings throughout
the Spring. Team
